Hello there,

My name is Mitchel, 24 years old from the Netherlands and recently bought my first GTR.
Owned a bayside blue R33 GTS-T for 3 years, but soon I wanted a GTR.

Been wondering around on this forum quite a while, so now I thought I should make a intro post haha. :chuckle:

Going quickly back in time, this was my first skyline, loved the colour of this one. Had major fun with this one, but soon I found out I wanted a GTR.

Anyway, after a couple of years I came across a GTR which stood still for a while. The previous owner wanted to fix the clutch, but didnt had time for it..

As the paint was quite bad, I thought that this would be a good GTR for me. As I wanted a colour that you don't see much.

Here the GTR got moved to my uncle's shop, and the GTS-T got taken away.

The GTR didn't had the gearbox connected. So with a new Clutch which was also needed, me and my uncle started to suite in the Gearbox.

All the fluids were also replaced. After having the gearbox suited,we started her up for the first time, luckily enough she ran like a charm. The car stood still for almost 2 years with some startup's in between.

And soon she was on the streets..

A smile from ear to ear, loved this car already.
I swapped the XXR rims from my GTST to my GTR, but unfortunately they didn't fit really well..

So I found some new awesome wheels, Varrstoen ES2 ET0 10.5J 18 Inch.

After I got the new wheels, It was time to fix my radio, as a GTR has a extra meter set, I had to remove my A/C and place is somewhere else.

Now I could finally fit my dubble din radio/navigation.

So after that, I had to fix some rust issues.
Found someone in The Netherlands who already done 3 GTR's and had a good final result. So I also brought my GTR to him.

I had both my struts done, this way I am sure I won't rust ever again.

I also asked if he could check underneath. He cleaned some parts there and used bitume so make sure it won't rust.

After I got the GTR back I only drove it for 1 week, cause now it's at the painter. The color is still a secret haha, I will show it when it's done.

Its a color that is quite rare but has been seen on this forum ;).
Also fixing the front splitter and painting the struts.

Here is how she looks now:

She had quite some dents, lucky enough the painter is very skilled and patient and she will be a absolute beauty when she is done!

Well that is it so far. Hopefully within 2 weeks the GTR is done, I will keep you posted!

To be continued.

Ha Niels!

Almost, upcoming Wednesday it should be finished.

The doors, sideskirts, hood and the front and rear bumper have been painted. The car is now dent free and today the chassis is going to be painted.

Here the car is almost ready for the pre paint.

In the meanwhile, they also freshen up my headlights. You can clearly see the difference!

My struts were now ready from some fresh paint.

I have chosen white because I didn't wanna bother with taking out the engine as I wanted to drive her at least some bit this season. Maybe in the future it will get the color that he car will get.

There is also something waiting other then a new paint.

Hopefully I can install this beautiful exhaust this sunday.
So far the update, next wednesday I am gonna drive it like I stole it!

Finally had some time to update the thread, but here it is!

Really really really happy with the results!
In almost less then a week after I got it back I did a road trip of 1600 km's. A lot of people fell in love with it, including me every time I looked at it! :D

Also the Tomei Ti sounds absolutely amazing. This week Ill be fitting a Equal Costum made downpipe, hopefully it will sound even more brutal :D.

After that I will drop the GTR prob by 2 cm's and also will be fitting a oil cooler.

Some future plans for December,January are also made. Will be repainting the Varrstoen rims in a different color, not sure which one yet. And Ill be fitting my V-Spec rearspats by then.

To be continued!

Great - I'm considering one in combo with a Mines front pipe pro.

What downpipe are you going for?
If you're going with a mines, that would be absolute porn haha.

Its a costum made equal downpipe, thought I give it a try as I dont have 750€ lying around for a mines one ;).

Search for R33 tomei on youtube, some have equall and some have a single turbo setup, think you can get close to that sound with your mines one :D.

That colour really suits BCNR33's! Looks like a very high quality paint job! Also I'd like to know what you think of the Tomei, in terms of noise levels, does it get annoying when driving the car? Too loud or simply worth the sound pleasure?

Thanks man, I do really love the colour choice and the paint job is indeed high quality.

Well I must say.. the Tomei is loud, I love it and wouldn't want to replace it at all. Its worth it :D

It starts to scream at around 4/5k RPM, then the exhausts gets louder and louder when you go through the rpm's.

On the highway it's the same. When you drive 60 till 80 mp/h its fine, when you go above that it will become quite louder, which can be annoying.

Hope this info is usefull for you :).
