Just got my car back today after getting rebuilt with tomi 10.9 high lift cams and have hardly got a brake pedal. after doin a bit of research some people on here have had the same problem big cams no vacumto servo was wonderin wots the best way (cheapest way) of creating a vacum plz need help asap :thumbsup:

Electric brake vac pump from a late eighties US car (some mid / late eighties Cadillac Sevilles had them, for example), so try a few Yank Tank breakers. Or you could lose the A/C pump, fabricate a bracket and use a belt driven diesel engine vac pump. Finally, search Google for electric vacuum brake booster pumps, there are plenty of these available as kits from the US. Even a bog Block Chevy will make less than 12 inches of vacuum with a big cam in it! You really need a fairly steady 14 inches of Hg vac to run the servo reliably, almost certainly you will have a lot less.

Tanks for the reply think am just gona buy a kit fro the us looked intoo usin a desil vacum pump belt driven and decided it wood be too much hassle:thumbsup:
