Well. there was always going to be a first problem and todays the day.
Over 2 years of troulbe free driving and over 20K miles of smiles,
Today i took the car to work for a few up grades to be fitted to bodywork and Harness bar, took 5 hours of sweat but the car looks amazing ..IMHO. LOL
Anyway all fitted , now the car looks the dogs and the car wont start.
The dash board had a yellow light with a key inside it in the lower left corner. And the car will not fire up.
Sad times for the Gold beast.

Looks like a recovery to Ancaster Garage monday.

What work was carried out buddy??

Battery? Did the interior light get left on when the work was beig done?
The car key didn't get dropped did it? My mate dropped his Volvo key and the immobiliser chip went pop and he had the same issue as you

Was any electrical work carried out on the car? Something could have shorted? All fuses ok?

None of that really narrows anything down but it gives you extra things to think about if you haven't already checked them :)

Right ... Latest news.

Just rang Cobra tracker. The bloke said it doesnt look like its been turned off, so he just re programmed and resent it a new instuction.
So Could be the Cobra tracker. they do have a mode to stop the car running.
So at least there is light at the end of the tunnel.
No electrical work done on the car. and its not the key as i took my spare back to work this evening to try that as well.
Cant check it till tomorrow or Monday now... GUTTED

Hopefully the cars in a safe area. I would try the key fob battery and also bring a set of jump leads with you even though the battery has been disconnected

Them cobra trackers are a pain in the backside! i would check that first especially if you took the battery leads of some time before, also if the key symbol shows, slot it into the key part and the car should start my customer previously had the same issue with a key that ended up faulty, it would not work remotly but worked in the key slot

Hope this helps

I didn't realise the tracker could stop the car running.

Ive forgotten my tracker twice and just got a phone call straight away from cobra as fob not present, they can disable the car then ?

Yes, if you couldn't prove who you were then when the car becomes stationary then engine will cut or refuse to start if not already running.

LOL...

Im a car fanatic the same as everyone on here.
But i repair cars for a living so know that things go wrong.
20K miles and never missed a beat,,, this is never going to put me of the best car ive ever owned.

But will be glad if its fixed next week.
I was suposedto be out with loads of mate tomorrow with it. hence all the work that got done on it today.
Mustangs out of moths balls and filled with Super 100ron.
Bring on tomorrow
