If 300 bhp is your limit for now then that will be fine.

There is not huge amounts of tuning parts available for the 2ltr and if you want more than 300bhp i would swap and rb25det in there as there is much more scope for tuning from that point

Basically no :(

Best to buy a GTS-T to start with, as it'll cost you far less in the long run. Insurance isn't a lot different for either of them.

I'm not saying you can't tune the RB20, just that it's not really cost-effective for that sort of power unless you're looking to keep it for a long time and develop it gradually. You'll always end up wanting more... :D

Oh ok, I stand corrected. You normally find that the insurance companies group all the Skyline variants together, unless they're a specialist.

If that's the case, you may be better off with the RB20 - but then saving your money to chop it in for a GTS-T after a couple of years, rather than spending it on tuning.

That's all in my opinion tho - once you've got a car, no matter which one, it's hard not to start spending money on it ;) But bear in mind that if ( ;) ) you're going to declare your mods, your insurance is likely to jump up (potentially) considerably... :)

Well yeah i know it would jump.

Like i say, just need clarification if its worth buying the RB20 and tuning it a bt for 300bhp - OR would it need tuning ALOT to get that?

Im also looking at a Nissan 200sx S14a and i know the SR20 can hit 300 with a bit of tuning.
