Swiss tuner Novidem has turned out a 585 HP GT-R and in latest german magazine Auto Bild it has been tested against the Lamborghini Gallardo GT 600
And to no ones surpries the GT-R claim a cool victory:
Novidem GT-RS gegen BF Performance GT 600 - Donnerwetter - Sportscars - autobild.de

From the text: Against the Lamborghini the GT-R gives a sober, disiplinzed and neutral impression. The Lamborghini is more or less italian:smokin:.
By the look of it there is nothing that tells what is underneath the skin of the GT-R. It outbreaks the Lamborghini (169,1 meter 200-0 km/h, the GT-R 35 meter shorter) as well as out accelerate it (3,6 seconds, Lamborghini 3,7 sec). At 250 km/h the GT-R is 0,1 seconds faster.
And on the on the (name not given) racetrack it clocks a time of 1:35,41, Lamborghini 1:35,86. Not bad for car that costs € 83.000. Lamborghini Gallardo GT 600 costs € 182.000.

The GT-R forces all of the sportscar manufactores to rethink how a supercar of the future must be. The Gallardo is by all means a ideal sportscar, but still left in the dust by a Nissan coupé. No one can overlook the GT-R. Even Porsche (or should we say VW:eek:) is in the same situation.

The gtr is NOT 585whp. That's only upgraded turbo hp. That's just an exhaus and ecu update and it can't gain those hp unless using cobb or haltech with a lot of other mods.

So its just a high friction loss guesstimate of the crank hp. The lambo stock runs about 500whp... Only upgrade is ecu and should have about 12% friction loss (gtr only has 10%).

So what this means is the dual clutch trans in the gtr is putting down power without power loss between shifts. It takes full advantage of the slight power increase (even tho they lie and say its more) plus the gtr tuner says on there website its 550ps which is 542hp and that's still exadurated with high friction loss guesses at the crank.

Autobild writer proves again that they are just a bunch of german wanabee writers with no clue for the worlds Motorsports History.

It seems to be systhematic that the german car Press characterizes the japanese car industry (or japan in general) as a group of uncreative little yellow men with the only occupation: trying to show the great germans that they can be as good as them . . . . if in reality the japanese car industry farts on germany and just trys to counter them on the US market, which is the japanese car industry battle field. Edmunds.com is just as good as it gets, when it comes to truly open car debates, Autobild is lightyears away from such a writing quality!

The write up starts with about these lines:
"The japanese have last attacked the west successfully in 1941 at Pearl Harbour . . . .. after that they went more for a hidden spy infiltration by overflowing the west with faceless cars and cheap TVs . . . this has now an end with the GTR in 2009 . . . .

Like if there was nothing japan had to offer since WW2 . . . . basicly germany looked like retarded Croatia in the 70ties compared to rising Japan back then . . and still does.

What a bunch of loosers, neverless they have understud the fact that in 2009 the era of "car hightech being available only for an elite in supercars" is over, and it was allready nearly over in 1989.:D
