Guys
Thought I'll tell you how I got on this morning with transmission fluid changes. On removing both front and rear Diff filler plugs oil pourerd out of both of them. Well overfilled.
Gearbox . Removed the first plug oil should drip out only. Again oil poured out for about 45 to 60 seconds. Again well overfilled. I'm now thinking to myself I bet once I've drained and refilled I'll have smoother gear changes??
So both diff's drained and refilled and same with gearbox remembering to run up temperature in box then rechecking before finishing.
A road test confirmed my suspesions much better gear changes.
I will be ringing the NHPC who has looked after this car from new and maybe advise them to Better Train their GTR Specialist. Assuming they have one !!

Before you do take a moment. While it does seem over filled was the car level (both when done by the dealer and you)? 4 post ramps can be out was the fuel level the same? 2 post ramps and their arms can be out plus they have adjustable feet. All these factors will change the fluid quantity at the level plug. Plus the fluid temperature is a factor cold fluid going in warm to hot fluid coming out.

Believe me 38years as a Motor VehicleTechnician when the oil fly's out of the diff filler plug in such a way that it covers your arm in oil thats over filled my friend. I suspect the ramp I used was as level as the one the NHPC used I'm sure. As for the gearbox no way there should have been that much oil in in. The plug is in the bottom of the box no matter where you remove it!
