The other day i was giving the GTR some beans and after some hard runs, I pulled up at the traffic lights and my oil pressured dropped below the normal idle of just over 2. I revved it and it went back up again and has been fine since. I checked the engine over, no oil loss, no power loss, no knocks.....

Do you think this could be my oil cooler switching in? It was a hot day....

Pressure relief valve sticking open momentarily? That'll be expensive if it happens for a sustained period.

In the oil pump. Pump makes pressure proportional to revs, as soon as it reaches the required pressure (e.g. 5bar @2000rpm) the relief valve starts to vent oil back into the sump/pickup to keep the pressure constant.
