I have a 1995 GTR33 which was imported about a month ago and has a claimed output of 400-420bhp, when the guy dynod it in japan it came out at about 410bhp and the boost runs at just under 1BAR.
But speaking to a few people it shouldnt be like that without the use of a boost controler witch the car hasnt got one fitted to it yet.

I looked at the turbos last night and the make was a garret M24, but im unsure wether these are the standard turbos or not and the condition of them looks brand new.

The only engine mods it has had done is AFTER MARKET ECU AND EXHUAST, FRONT MOUNTED INTERCOOLER, ARC RADIATOR, HKS SPARK PLUGS AND K&N INDUTION WITH HARD PIPE.

Is it possible the car could run 400+bhp without a boost controller or uprated turbos?

Boost controller is just a fancy (and more accurate bleed valve) and only really part of the Jap scene. Boost control was always done by adjusting the actuator on my other turbo cars.
