Hi I am possibly looking at a gtr in JJ performance cars Nottingham. I am new to these cars so looking for some advice. The car is a 2010my with 42000miles on the clock. It's a standard car apart from the front discs and pads have been changed. I am waiting on other details from the seller. Buying a standard car do you guys think that this is wise or do you go for one that's had a few upgrades from the likes of Litchfield. This car interested me as it's a September 2010 model and 42000miles. Any help would be appreciated....

You need to give more information about it, like colour, price, owners, service history then we can give you an opinion if it its good value for money. It doesn't matter if you go for stock or modified (as long as it's done by a reputable company) as long the price is rite.

The colour is silver and its priced at £34000. Full service history not sure yet if it's a main dealer or specialist. It's a premium spec. Were there much changes to to 2010 model over earlier cars.

AT Performance Cars have a page on their website that I found useful when looking at the different face lifts and models

Thanks guys..I have got the service records and it looks like it was supplied new through Alex f noble in Scotland. Full dealer history until 2016...then Litchfield. Would the 5 year brake pipe renewal have been carried out as a routine service or do customers skip these...

Agree with Takamo, need more details, but some things to look out for Evoraas are:

1) FSH - has it been serviced to schedule? I looked at loads that said FSH and they didn't have it. Not necessarily a problem if its been serviced well, but for a 2010 they are 6 monthly service intervals (though some owners do this anually if lower mileage).

2) Check underneath the car - has it got all its undertrays, bolts, no damage, no rusty rear subframe etc? Can be pricey for second-hand trays in good nick, and the rear carbon tray is £000's.

3) Brake pipes are recommended to be changed every 5 years - its additional to the normal G1, G2, G3 nissan servicing schedules. It's about £200 for aftermarket braided lines and a couple of hours labour to fit.

4) Paintwork - think its "Super Silver"? A few older threads have said this paint is difficult to match but I don't know if this is still the case. It's a great colour choice though.

Good luck with the search - I bought a 2010 car last year and love it :)

Thanks again chaps.
Looks like Litchfield replaced goodrige brake hoses and some drop links.
The book is stamped up correctly as it should be but some go over 6 months.
Looks like a standard car. Is there any set time for doing upgrades.
Bell housing
Gear box software
Are these the 2 main upgrades that need done sooner...
I like the silver colour and the mileage is low 40..
Owners is 5 I think .

TREG I would have yours in a minute if my R8 were to sell. This garage has offered me a good trade in value.
