hi guys,

I currently have a bosch 044 intank with a relay fitted which i'll be retaining as a lift pump for my new fuel system (i.e. surge tank & 2 external bosch 044's).

Can i pick up power from the existing fuel pump harness to feed the 2 new 044 pumps or do they need their own dedicated power? Im not sure if running 3 fuel pumps from 1 power source is the correct way of doing this & if it will cause a voltage drop. :nervous:

thanks in advance

I wouldn't use the same supply for all 3. For the extra 2 pumps I would also give them an independent supply, if you have a power failure on one, you would still have the other one active.

i spoke to a workshop here & he suggested to run 3 seperate power lines which also run 3 seperate relay's - ive decided to let him do it...if i get this wrong i could potentially detonate my new engine which ive spent close to 20k aud
