There is no warranty no assurance no guarantee you take the burden and ownership.

I would be happy for the PPG system to run that level in so much its a very stout design and we know the gears are more than man enough .
even the New GTRs boxes come with warranty, so why not your boxes? Us RB owners dont have the R button to worry about. :chuckle:

PPG.....

Could you put a pic of what you get with the box, rather than listing it?

Also what oil would it require? heavy Duty Redline Shockproof or something more normal 75/90w?

and would you modify the box so you can fit a coooler prior to building and dispatching it?

Cheers
I can get some images if that helps . In regards oils we only use MOTUL oils because we are Official Technical Partners with MOTUL and always 75W-140 , its proven over the years to be the very best and offers unrivalled protection for our systems .

https://www.motul.com/th/en/news/group-partners/motul-and-pfitzner-performance-gearboxes-embark-on-global-technical-partnership:)

Coolers are not really required unless circuit type applications are going to be the intended application and in such applications a full thermostatically controlled cooler system should be implemented.

Lastly we don't build customer transmissions , this is the function of the dealer network or specialist transmission shops. Hope this helps .....

How streetable is the gearset?
what is the noise like?
using it on the street with a little track day work, what do you expect the k's before service/rebuild?
what is the cost of service parts?

The gears are helical and as such will keep the noise to a minimal however its not silent , with a full road car it should be pretty quiet, you can speak with anyone using a PPG sequential system and they will tell you how smooth and low force the gearshift is , we use a very different detent system and keep frictions as low as possible and as a result shift force is typically low but resilient to false triggers to the ecu.

In regards road usage we would recommend our debris sensor system that will detect any metal particulates in the oil and therefore allow a health monitor for your gear systems health.

The cost of this is around £800 and it can be configured via analogue or CanBus into the ECU. Bearings we try to keep to commercially avaliable items so they are kept to a minimum in terms of costs and you can can get them without them being special order items and costing the earth:cool:

We recommend bearings be change once a season if used in motorsports applications and full crack testing on stripe downs but a full preventative maintenance program should always be followed as with any sequential dog box.

Here are some images of the shifter lever and load cell system for the New R32 sequential system.

We use only KA Sensors for all our custom load cells , theses are calibrated with a 2.5v centre voltage so they can be used in up and down shift phases with DBW systems and ECU's.

Hope this helps :)

This is all absolutely tremendous ..... it still excludes 95% of Gt-r owners though.
We have several customers ready with R34 cars to use the early box in the later car , we are just looking at the relevant ratios for that application.

If we saw feedback and people willing to commit to the R34 version we would i guess get it done.

Having feedback and having orders are 2 very different things in the UK.

I don't mean to offend you but I think you generated a lot of interest from people with what appears to be a great product and then sadly, priced yourself out of the willing/available market.

The pricing reflects the quality and the level of components used
Are you then saying that manufacturers of other sequential boxes which use a completely new casing are using inferior materials to you because they work out cheaper in the UK?

unfortunately the price point is what it is and even once purchased, ECU systems and other components need to be purchased.
All I'm saying is, for the UK, the price is the limiting factor - judging by this thread alone, you had a lot of interest until the price was released and most switched off.

Here's a very simple question to illustrate the point I'm trying to make:
Are PPG happy to make 50% profit on just 5 boxes or would they rather make 15% on 100?

Have you thought about offering a 'group buy' with a fixed price (delivered) in the UK?

Unfortunately a sequential gearbox system is not a budget item and if it were i would questions its validity , after that you can debate long and hard but the fact remains their a high value commodity and as many of our motorsports clients comment .... All gears are not made equal
