I have been trying to find all my vac/boost leaks on my inlet plenum. I have found most of them but I was just wondering, if you seal up the plenum while on the engine and bring the pressure up to 0.8 bar and you have no leaks will it hold at 0.8 or does it naturally escape somewhere through the engine?

the evo guys disconnect the intake piping after the turbo and pressurize the whole system with around 1 bar.
you have to keep it pressurized and go for hissing sounds (obviously).
if you just pressurize it and disconnect, it will not hold, the pressure will leak through the engine (not instantly but fast enough to miss a possible leak).
hope this helps

Unless you undo all the cam caps and slacken the timing belt some valves will always be open on a straight six, and the pressure will enter the cylinders. There will be SOME leakage past the valve seats unless the engine is built to race standards and freshly assembled. If you waft propane from a low pressure supply via a small bore wand with the engine idling you'll soon find any leaks on the vac side.
