I have a problem with my cam ( Tomei Procam MID 270 10.25 lift ) I'm using the cams with VALVE SPRINGS TYPE B + retainers


What is the clearance for them ??

Do I need to change The Shims ??

Tomei says that MID, HIGH, and SUPER HIGH cams need lifters.
The Tomei lifters are 40,950 JPY and we sell them if needed.
They are cold forged and should be used with cams over 10.25mm of lift.
Your valve springs are fine for this application.

mgiht not be right here, but doesnt the head also have to be modified so the lobes dont hit the casting?.

We modified the head

Tomei use a smaller base circle on their Procam, so you will need their solid lifter.

Other cams such as HKS use the standard base circle, and those need their head machine to give clearance.

From what I understand, the Procam base circle is 2mm smaller, so you need to make up the difference some where.

Either the lifter or the shim... Tomei just provide the solid lifter so the cam can be "drop in".
