Proportional Representation - Your View of R35 Ownership

We've all seen the negative threads, and I am conscious that sometimes ALL you hear is the bad news, so I thought I'd try a little fair representation for those looking for straight info.

I define 'Minor' problems as: Irritating quality of service issues, and/or off the road/unavailable to drive for less than 10% of your ownership time.

Poor impression is bad costs, silly warranty, didn't like the colours available, whatever.

Shame there's no "I don't have one, but am interested in seeing the results" option jae!

(unless there is a way to see without voting?) :D

All the recent talk on repair costs, exploding bonnets, Insurance and residuals had started to make me regret buying the car. I thought that I had made a VERY expensive mistake.

Then I took it for a drive last night. You only live once, and I am in love again!

All the recent posts regarding the possible bad points about the GTR pale into insignificance once you go for a fast blast in it.
You need to enjoy life , too many problems to start getting upset about otherwise.

What can i say i thought long and hard about this one and changed my mind at the last minute to i have one love it minor problems.

All be it a growing list of minor problems.

Paint issue on Storm White Car
Cracked Front Brake disks
Bent Lower rear lateral arms
Limp Mode - Clutch Temp/Yaw sensor Warning issues

And you know what if it had been any other car i would have been spitting flames by now.

I must say Middlehurst have been excellent in dealing with my concerns, you don't always get the answer you want but i can't fault them for their efforts with Nissan for me.

It is all about building a relationship and working through the matters together for the benefit of all.

Paint job getting sorted next week or 2
Disks are classed as consumables as per our warranties so i will replace them myself
Bent arms and Limp mode issues getting looked at when it is in next.

Nothing can take the shine away from this car, all you need to do is get in and drive it and all the problems drift away.

Something that is common to all the GT-Rs, it seems. When you drive it, the costs, pain, worry, life, whatever just does not matter for those moments behind the wheel.

I'm hearing some of the costs are ridiculous. Insurance claims etc

I've had a few problems, brakes, disks and aircon rads. I've imported bits from Japan and the US and used cheaper specialist. its cost me a quarter of the UK Nissan dealer bill

My car is still A1. We need to vote with our feet ie if a repair wasn't done by Nissan who is to know when you sell your car?

By doing this with good tuners Nissan will have to adjust its prices. The bit's I purchased are made in the same place that ones from UK dealers get!

We should use our brains first, its a car, a dam good BTW
