Was at trax and just couldnt sit there idally and watch everyone do the 0 - 60 runs so i thought sod it ill have one run.

Queue up for half an hour and launched felt like a pretty good run and got to the end to get my score . . . . . . the timing machine didnt work go back again!!! gits

So i went back round and did it again, this time the timing machine did work and gave me a 0 - 60 time of 3.71 seconds! Which i am really happy with! Came second in the 4wd class i believe, only behind the old school escort with a cossie lump and 4wd (must have only weighed a ton with shed loads of power) doing it in 2.98 seconds :S

Missed out on winning a digidash warning system thing which was annoying, bloody fords! but hey was still good to get it done on laser timings but well happy with the result!

I havent got a clue what quarter it would do if driven properly, haha id expect a very low 11 tbh.

the car is standard weight, full street trim and road spec and id guestimate power at about 550hp fly? has never been rolling roaded.

Was done on road tyres at 30psi ish on an unprepped surface but still good quality tarmac (part of the race track). Didnt build boost on handbrake, just dumped the clutch at 7800 to 8k rpm.

Cheers pupsi :)

Good stuff. I drove past you (recognised the car) when everyone was stuck in that traffic trying to get in to Silverstone, I went up the right hand lane!

yeah the car hit the limiter at about 8 in first in other gears dont take it above about 7500 as dont need to. i took the bee r off the car as i didnt want to cause any valve bounce etc and break anything! it was just a precautionary thing. i have launched before at 5k and find it doesnt do anything but then again i dont prebuild boost as i dont want to destroy my clutch.

if i changed up before the limiter in 1st will bog down as such into second.

i remember seeing your car jags, i stopped and had a look at it go past, very nice!

spent enough money on the engine so may as well use what i have! the limits it has been given it can handle so i can use it with confidence :)

the bee r was on it when i first bought the car and i did enjoy the odd bang and flame but when the engine died tweenie flat out refused to let me put it back on.lol

Excellent time, I would have loved to get below 4 sec but I was aiming between 4 and 4.5 and I would be happy.

I had 2 runs, 1st one was near the start of the day and after watching quite a few cars I wasnt to impressed with any times and thought it isnt going to be a good day.
Fastest time of the day then was a 4.43! So for my 1st run I thought Id go with 6500rpm and just dropped the clutch, thats what I have found to work well on closed roads lol
I was timed at 4.67sec so not to bad. I had to go for my track session straight after the 1st run.

So 2nd run, I decided to up the rpm of the line, I think my 1st run was closer to 6000rpm than 6500rpm. I managed to hold 6750rpm and got a realy nice start, the back end had the smallest but nicest step out lol
That run was 4.43sec, so I was very pleased with that.

Any who wants to no my basic spec, R32 GTR, Full trim, Toyo T1Rs (265/35/18) 435bhp @ fly, 1.1bar, OS Giken twin plate. I had over 3/4 tank of fuel aswell.

Anyone else do the 0-60?
