Hi everyone.

Having recently purchased my20 GTR last week I have to say I am feeling on top of the world (road) right now.

Now just like most of the people I love modding the hell out of everything and already itching for more noise.

I have spent the usual amount of hours trawling through the endless content on exhausts, midpipes and everything else you can do, but with a 3 year warranty at my disposal, a lot of the bigger fun is going to have to wait.

So midpipes... My question is, why does no one seem to go for boost logic over here? It is all Milltek this and Titan that and the Boost Logic looks quality to me.

The noise on some of the clips from the boost logic system is beyond insane and I really like the thought of the titanium quadzilla midpipe.

Seems to be no drone vs high scream. So what's not to love (apart from the price)?

Any reason why I shouldn't choose this?

PS Massive thank you to Dale at specialist Nissan Aberdeen. Absolute legend, got me proper sorted with my new love.

Thanks

Isn't the flow rate less with the Quadzilla midpipe i.e. 4 smaller diameter pipes rather than 2 big diameter pipes on e.g. the GTC/Linney Titan? I would think that's a factor - performance rather than noise. Depends what you are after in terms of tuned spec for go, or noise for show, or both (with compromises).

Whifbitz titanium 4“ exhaust is the best bang for buck, boost logic is nice but expensive.

I think a nice looking 4” system is the tomei one with extra silencers as I don’t like too noisy cars and it’s mid price point.

Not interested in the linney stuff personally but there’s loads out there.

Thanks for you replies. Yeah it has 4x60mm pipes. I will keep researching as I need to bring the noise soon :)

I'd be careful what is acceptable under the Nissan warranty clauses. The only mod they allowed me to have was the Y pipe (mid pipe), to keep under warranty.
I have the Auto Torque one and it made a great improvement to the sound (more than happy). Depends how loud you want to be though;)

Yeah I'll be starting with the midpipe for some extra noise and see how long I can go with just that. I appreciate that any more than that there would undoubtedly be warranty issues. (y)

I’d just bung a cheap decat pipe on now, bit more noise and cheap enough to change at a later date.
my friend used a £130 ebay job a couple years ago and it fit perfect but he can’t remember the brand but bought it somewhere in manchester.

Haha yeah tbh I would rather spend the money then just add the rest of it later on. I have already sold 1 ball so may as well sell the other and go all out!

They are the best exhausts I’ve fitted, beautifully crafted and have a race history to prove its work.

Theres only one downside for me personally and it’s I can’t afford one but would’nt hesitate if I could get the 4” version At sensible money.

I have read a few stories on here where owners have changed their AKRA for something with a bit more drama,if you check forum history there is plenty video clips of different exhausts sounds to help you decide.

Akra Evo on my MY20 TE, it's superb.
What about warranty? Can you even pickup an Akra midpipe on it's own? haven't seen any online. seems to be evolution or slip on.

@cotter I'm not gonna lie I do like a bit of drama as you can see from my 350z

Well linney is a very popular exhaust, but if i was you i would be giving russ fellow a call mate, one of the best in the game and british made, he'll do you custom y pipe with maximum affect and good price. Oh and proper quality

I went with russ fellows. Amazing quality.
It’s the way he merges the y. It’s the best looking and sounds good.

Give Russ a bell, he’s down to earth and has time to talk you through things.

I have one of his systems to go on my car but it was a custom system he built with sports cats and I have an additional decat pipe.

If you want a well-priced catted y-pipe ready to ship have a look at the for sale section. I've got one ready to go. No idea about sound though as I never fitted it. Likely not superloud as it is catted.

i have a My18 and the first thing i brought was a Russ Fellowes Y pipe, i love it! now after 2 years i have just brought his downpipes and off to Litchfield tomorrow for a 4.25 upgrade, i know it will probably void my final year of warranty but i just can't wait any longer!!
