I have had the car for a month and the oil pump failed so I am now waiting for new block from Japan.I live in Canada and our best gas is 94 octane so should I retard the timing for a bit because of the agressive timing and fuel map?The car has intake and exhaust mods. The only way I thought of monitoring the timing just to see how agressive it was,was to buy a diagnotic port cable and software and hook it up to my computer and put the car on a dyno at the same time.I also wanted to know if the Apex SAFC could be used to sort out the fuel issue, will it be able to override the chip.Or would someone want to trade my Mines ECU for their stock one and a Apex SAFC?:) Thanks jason.

94 octane in Canada is measured by R + M /2 method. Which is equivalent to Japanese 98 Octane Ron fuel. So unless the ecu was tuned for more then 98 octane japanese fuel, you will be fine.
