Hi guys,

Just wondering if I can do the Y-pipe although the car has only covered 100 miles 馃榾

The reason behind it is that when the car was delivered, it had scuffs at the bottom of front lip and diffuser and my dealership are willing to replace it. Also willing to compensate little for the mess. The parts are here, it鈥檚 just a matter of me driving it there.

So either I take compensation or get the pipe fitted at same time but is it way to early, do I need to cover first 1000 miles for running in service or it does not matter?

If you want them to fit the pipe- go for it.
Or do it yourself as it's only 6 bolts but better to do it now before the fixings on the downpipe end seize.
Thanks bud,
It鈥檚 a new car and it has only done 100miles. Does it matter or it has to go through its first 1000 miles.?

Doesn't matter- it's just a section of pipe with the secondary cats.
Pretty Sure the dealer in Aberdeen fit Miltek Y pipes when they do the PDI on new cars.

Make sure you get the OEM Y pipe back as you can sell it on for ~拢500.

Don't sweat it- get it done and enjoy the car.

Brilliant my man, will try to get it sorted and hopefully they will agree. 鈽 Will also keep the OEM as am not sure if Miltek is going to be satisfactory, I hear some stories where people complain of drone @certain rpm

Mine was fitted by the dealership prior to collection with 20 or so miles on the clock. They also said, no warranty would be impacted with them fitting it.
Makes the car sound as it should have when it left the factory.
Go for it

Just been told by my Nissan dealer that there is a possibility of warranty being voided and they can鈥檛 order non Nissan part. I personally think they just want to talk their way out of it. One of the floor managers said he never heard of Y-pipe or fitted one in their workshop being a Nismo specialist 馃槅. Now they want me to believe that? 馃

Exactly, i wonder if they鈥檒l be willing to put that in writing 馃槅 . I spoke to so many Nissan Nismo dealership and no one mentioned warranty void on Y-pipe.

Just do it yourself.
6 bolts.
I鈥檇 love to but don鈥檛 mind getting it done by Litchfield and build up a history with them 鈽. Only reason I was keen is because my dealership is replacing full front lip and back diffuser so thought why not to get the pipes done. Just had an email from general manager who鈥檚 not willing to take the risk and keeps referring to warranty void due to the pipes not being genuine Nissan part. We all know the Bull***t but am just going to accept the compensation cheque they are offering and get it done at later stage.
