Question

Sorry to get you excited - but I'm not actually after the car! I was wondering what HICAS was, cos I occassionally get this flashing up on my R33 GTS!

HICAS is the rear wheel drive system... the light should come on when you first turn the key on (like the batt and oil lights) but go off after the engine has come on...
if the light is coming on when your driving best get the car looked at....

HICAS is the four wheel steering system. Don't worry if the light occasionally comes on but it may be worth getting checked. The light used to come on when I first started the car on particularly cold days but when it was in being serviced they told me this was totally normal. The checked the computer to see if it had a problem or if it had ever had a problem but it hadn't.
