wouldnt have thought so, does the short shift have a plastic swiveling bit on the end? if so all you do it remove the circlip from around the gear stick and the whole stick will come out allowing you to fit your short shift.
thats just how i would have thought it would fit mind, never actually done one but have removed stick when taking out box.
