17" or 18" wheels for an R32 GTR?

All I know is that I have rota 18" x 9.5 with a 35 offset. They came off my gtst ol red!

I did have 235x40x18 on the front but after some discussion was told I needed to get 255x35x18 on the front so they are same all round thus not borking the atessa 4wd system.

after having them fitted the tyre shop checked and the clearance at the back for the tyre is about a fingers worth. The wheels turn lock to lock with no scrubbing.

I've since chucked it thru some corners and overall it seems to be ok. Not heard any scrubbing but it's possible there may be if I push it hard.
Suspension is quite firm overall but not unbearable. Been in worse.

The tyre still sits under the arch and I've had ppl suggest a spacer for the front to push em out a bit more.. or lower the suspension but I'm inclined to do none of that as it drives really well right now.

Blimey what's going on there? Almost as bad as matey in his R34 who got the warning by the police.

Thanks Cris i had a look under today and my upper and lower arms have about 15mm of thread left to wind them in so if I can get them wound in a bit that might help out possibly? Suspension seems nicely setup already too.

If i can get a 255 all round that would be pretty cool I think.

As mentioned a short while back perhaps there is some camber needed on the back to bring em in. They are close at the back but the 35 profile instead of 40 helps clear.

Thought I'd post another pic up a bit more front on. The tyres are 255x35x18 on the back and 235x40x18 on the front so this pic still isn't Ummm up to date haha but let's you see how they sit I guess.

Great topic! I am running 17s at the moment and upgrading my brakes. I heard the 356 K Sport 8 pot kit won't fit behind 17s so I am constrained to the 330mm 4 pot.

I'm sure it's a great kit but I love seeing great big calipers through a wheel. But I'm not sure I want to upset the aesthetic of my car, and it means I can carry over my Eagle F1s. I think both 18s and 17s look good. But I voted 17.

I vote for 18's. You don't have to go as low to achieve the low look thus saving that front lip a bit more. Out in my parts there's holes that will tear a lip off at stock height sadly.

18" x 9.5 rota gtr with k sport 356mm discs and 8pots. There's an ongoing argument which is better vs the brembos which I won't go into. I just know these suckers stoppppp a "stock" powered car lol! Well happy with em and thought I'd post for the big caliper lover up above :)

Mate what off set are your wheels? I'm looking to buy ksport's as well and debating what wheels to go for. Looking at 18 x9.5 in say a et22.

Yeah they'll be fine.

Mine are off my ol 33 gtst with a 30 offset but they seem to be okay. In the pic above the tyres are 235x40 18 but I'm now on 235x35x18 all round and they're great. Loads of grip no rubbing (i dont run silly low slammed suspension) and the wheels clear the calipers:) wins ahoy!
