I don't know much about halogen bulbs, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are there specific halogen bulbs for low beam and high beam use? Or can I buy any bulb as long as it fits the bulb type?

Please let me know if this will work for my early model (1989) BNR32: I would like to buy some PIAA Arrow Star White halogen bulbs to replace both low beam and high beam bulbs. According to the info above, I need H3c type bulbs for low beam and H3 type bulbs for high beam; which means I need PIAA H-613* for low beams and PIAA H-612* for high beams. Am I right?

*PIAA product codes. Please refer to table from the link I provided.

This is wrong, at least for early and middle R32 GT-R

"Rear Indicator : BA9s either 380 or 382 (single filament)
Tailights : BA9S - halfords have it as a 380 or 382 (double filament bulb)"

BA9 is a 9 mm base. S being single.

The actual bulbs you need are 15 mm base. So the taillights are BAY15D - dual filament, and the backup, reversing lights are BAY15S - single filament.

Dashboard bulbs are incorrect. They are not 501 or w5w bulbs, which are 5W bulbs. Factory service manuals specify 3.4W, and I just pulled (from the factory) Toshiba 158 bulbs from my R32. Using too high wattage won***8217;t blend smoothly with the other factory bulbs.

So for factory look you want 158 bulbs for the main dashboard illumination.
