Hey all, my second post here as got myself a gtr last week:D

Looking into getting the car street legal,if i can, altou i bought it to race. It has damage where people have jacked it, and slight damage from a fork lift.....
Has anyone been down the path of replacing these? or just repairing?

Crushed sills? They can often be pulled out if you can get anything clamped onto the sill seam. Mine were repaired using a combination of cutting a hole in the top, and using a bar + hammer to push them down, and cutting out the damaged section and welding in new metal.

Yeah I need to do the same, there's a thread here that shows pictures of someone who cut out the crushed bits and welded new parts in.

It's handy as it shows the exact construction of the whole area, you can get an idea of whether you can pull it out from the bottom, push it out from inside the car or replace the damaged bit altogether on yours then

you need a pin welder (spot welder) and puller tool.

You weld pins on the bent bits and then use a slide hammer to pull them back out. I would then consider lead loading the repairs to get them supper smooth.

Much better than chopping and welding
