I know the diff has no cooling fins on a standard 32
and i know the V spec does have cooling fins and an active lsd
i have a normal 32 so what diff is this it has cooling fins and no active lsd?

No the diffs on all early R32's have cooling fins.

Only the later models with the larger diameter output shafts have the smooth cover in R32's.

Just to add - it's cars built from Jan 1993 on that have the larger shaft diffs with the smooth cover.

The non V-spec R33 have the same diff as the late 32's except the main casing is different (ATTESSA pumps no longer mounted on top of diff in 33).

Non V-spec 34 is also the same but has helical LSD instead of plate type.
