I recently went out in "George Bush"'s R33 and noticed he has a different stlye dash surround to me.

the bit which goes around the stereo, auxillary gauges and switch gear on mine is flat and a matt finish, but on his it was more contoured and had a glossy finish

was this a change along with the light facelift that hapened mid term?

can't find any pics online to explain what i mean...

The standard UK dash had a contoured texture which is a bit crap to be honest (Series 3)

My import had a smooth dash and was a series 2 model I think?

As Matt says Mook, the first pic is version 1 & 2 cars. The second pic is version 3.

Hmmm, I have a version 2 R33 GTR and my dash is the countoured version in the second picture, and all the verson 2 cars I looked at (the N reg, late '95/96 versions) all had the contoured dash on them as well.

Hmmm indeed. I had a '96 version 2 with the flat dash. Version changeover point or maybe mine had been changed for some reason?

The plot thickens.
