Hi.

Quite right Steve C.

Why is it every advert for a Skyline or parts gets

the comment of "Too much money"

Funny how they never own a Skyline.

I suppose I had better get ready for some abuse.

it's not to much

I have just sold mine for £18k

same as yours in very good condition but had wheels and some other bits.

Good cars = good money

Bad cars = cheap but can require £££££££££££'s

it's your choice guys

Big hands,

If you are after spending 12k on an r33 gtr I'd advise you have another 5-10k available to put it right.

be better off waiting for a while either to save up a bit more or see if the prices do drop, they are looking fairly stable at the moment though, and hopefully ( for me anyway) with the release of the new GTR the prices should hold if it turns out to be as untunable as they reckon it will be.

good luck with your quest..

Steve

Ouch !

I fully agree - I just bought a relatively cheap one and now have a £5k bill to sort it !

Abbey are giving the appropriate TLC - should be good when it's fixed :)

Sorry to hear that snr69, did the same thing myself on an Audi Quattro. My advice is only buy a skyline if its been looked after by one of the recognised specialists. You might be lucky but i am not sure if the risk is worth the repair bill.
Trying to buy the cheapest car around will have its risks.

Have you had the wheels sprayed....

or is that the colour known as 'Brake Dust' (like on my silver 33 :D ). Looks a nice one though

Cheers

no i had them re done in anthracite because of the brake dust

plus the look a lot better and contrast with the silver body line

They were done by pristine wheels in woburn sands , milton keynes

Cheap Sky

Ya pays ya money.

I got mine for 14.7K, but it's a 36k service, new clutch, new splitter and a respray to get it sorted.

Bottom line is that I got one. Then I sold the GT-S, and the money from that is covering the fixes.

Caveat emptor etc.
