mine suddenly given up the ghost and is behaving very erratically.. i know its the rpm dial as link logs are fine as is the apexi avcr rev display. i let one go a while back for around £35 so given in trying yo sell the car would be great if some could help

I'm having the same problem with mine. There is a link on here somewhere (I'll see if I can find it in a bit) but its basically dry or cracked solder joints where the microchip is fitted to the back of the rev counter.
If you remove the rev counter and re-solder the joints, it should be problem fixed.
