I'm certain it's ti. It feels very tough. It doesent look like Ali.

Looks too thin to be ali, to my eyes on that pic anyway. If it was that thin and aluminium it would be bent to fcuk
My money is on it being Ti

Panels were sold as "Titan" Hood Panel

You could have 2 different finishes






Difference shown on a 34 one

top one is standard finish

bottom is "ti finish"

Just checked, the one you are selling (according to old ARC catalogue) is Titanium.

(also seen these in alloy too)




ARC R33 part number was TFPBCNR33M03 or TFPBCNR3303

I thought it was because when you clean it, it's very hRd to buff up to a nice finish unlike al.

Your not really meant to buff titanium, it damages its natural properties and can cause it to corrode, or so i have read. That's why you never see shiny titanium plus it wont come up shiny anyway.

Sorry I don't mean buff as in polish I just mean to buff it with a cloth to get the water mark out after washing the car. It's definitely a difficult one to clean
