How much???!!!

Dude
wake up and smell the roses. For a 1996/97 P GTR V-Spec in Midnight purple with a re build you would be looking a lot less. OK it has had a rebuild but haven't most of them. There are R plates on a 97/98 with the new interior and zenon lights going for 18-19k, with the stage 1 kit.
Does it have bigger brakes? Intercooler? Oil Cooler?
There are cars in Autotrader and top marques with a biggger spec and for a lot less money.
I am looking for a good car but I fell this is way too overpriced as the market is at the moment.
If you are prepared to review the price then I would like to talk further.

How much???

Have you just added the price?

 I was expecting it to be about £18k or less! Well I won't bother to make an offer then...

well good luck in selling it

but it will still be there in a long time at that price.
Spudguns car is for sale at 22k and his has got 550 BHP with god knows how much power and a much higher spec.
I am looking at a 97/98 R plate with 40k for 18k. Same spec as yours and it comes with blitz wheels enough said.
It is a buyers market out there...

Price

Being another person out there whos after one all I can say is it does seem expensive bearing in mind the others for sale, especially Spudguns - shame this is outta my price range.

If you think its worth that though then good luck with the sale - maybe you will find someone and prove everyone wrong.

Cheers

Hi

YOU GUYS ALWAYS WANT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.

Once you actually own a SKYLINE and have spent god
knows how much on it you will not want to sell it for
bugger all.

QUESTION ?
IF SPUDGUNS CAR IS SO GOOD WHY IS IT SO BLOODY CHEAP.

There are good cars out there and there are bad ones.
(No offence Spudgun, I do not know your car)

Why are the cars at ProsPec expensive, DOH they are
quality cars. [
We need to keep the prices high.

If the cars at Prospec are so good

why are they not selling? (no offense shin) I mean the 400R is goign back to Japan I hear.
It is not about wanting sth for nothing it is about market value and reflecting this. I am fully aware of what is out there and beleieve me I have seen some shite! I am afraid the 33 has taken a hit, due to many variants, but the 34 can't have helped.
As for mods you are NEVER going to get back what you have spent and why should you? It is an ever depreciating consumable so you have to exepct this. I had this with my last car and only really accounted for about 40-50% return on mods. And I was lucky as someone wanted a good car.
Check out the UK 98 car for sale at 20k. With 40k miles. Er that is a UK CAR with all the extra coolers and the premuims.
Wake up to the market.

Ps.

Spuguns car is a 95 non vspec so older than this one, but it has a top engine and has had a fortune spent on it. But he is aware of the market and realises you are never going to get it back.
So as for labelling it cheap, I would say very harsh comment.

tom (slippery)

mine aint 'cheap', its a 95 n, with some good engine mods. for about 14-15k you can buy the same car, but with a bog standard engine, and standard wheels etc. mine has pukka blitz 18" wheels, a 550bhp engine etc etc. its immaculate. ive modded enough scoobys, and so has my girlfriend, to know you never get back what you put into it. basically, i added about 7k to the price of mine, but in actual fact ive spent 20k on it...that doesnt include the car.
why a fair price? coz i needed a quick sale, thats all. however, i may have found a way round the problem, so fingers crossed;)

do i think yours is overpriced? not a clue mate, i spose its worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. however, i wouldnt have been so rude to rubbish yours in an attempt to justify MY asking price for my car;)

best of luck with your sale, perhaps you could keep your opinions of my car to yourself in future please.

Now, now ladies

Firstly Spudgun, I don't think he was insulting your car by calling it 'cheap' - when I first saw your car advertised I also though it was cheap (as in low price, a bargain etc).

Secondly, I don't think it's appropriate to publicly criticise the price of Terry's car. Personally if I was a serious buyer I would call the guy and make him an offer. If he has no takers at £25K then I'm sure the price will drop in the future. I also think the car is overpriced but I certainly wouldn't come on here and publicly tell him so.

hi talat
perhaps his comments came across the wrong way. mind you, they were in block capitals as if to make some kind of point?
as i say, if someone wanted a million quid for their r33, then thats their business. i wouldnt post on their thread criticising them, after all its their business, not mine.

sorry to hijack this particular thread, i'd minded my own business till now, but it was my car that was mentioned here first, i was just defending her.

and bye the way, i dont give a **** now if i sell or not, sorted some bills etc, so i DONT need to sell if i dont want too;) :D

mate, dont rise to it, personally i think your car is worth good money. it amazes me how much crap people spout about used prices sometimes. if only these people had spent the money some of us had on their cars, perhaps they wouldnt be so quick to criticise asking prices for good modded cars. just how much do you people think it costs to mod an r33 to serious power for god sake?

friggin nora, i'm feeling feisty! no offence to anyone, but can we let the fella get on with his feckin sale? purleeeze!

Hi

Sorry spudgun,
I did not mean you're car in particular, it was just
an example from the previous thread.
How could I slag off you're car without even having
seen it.

Cheers Tom.

Talat et al...

As the board will know I am a serious buyer and hope you will appreciate that. The money is waiting for the right car. Obviously my hint was not taken in the original email as if he was prepared to move on the price then I would make him an offer, and a serious one at that. If you come onto a public board to advertise your car then clearly you are open to thought on this in a public domain.
I offer my apologies if I have offended anyone. I would like to call the guy but he does not have a number here.

Well your call Terry. I will email you and make you an offer and see how it goes.

Come on guys, lets no lower ourselves to the "my car's worth more than yours" arguments.
Depreciation is a sad fact of life, we all know that money spent on tuning should be largely written off on day one while specialist cars like these are always going to be hit harder than the average in an economic downturn. It doesn't need me to say that no price is right or wrong if a buyer and sellers can be matched.......but I would quite like to see a few cheaper R34s around!
Dont worry about the price so much, these toys are still a fraction of the price of competing machinery from Germany and Italy, get out and enjoy them.
