Folks,

Great site, this place really goes from strength to strength !

I currently ambulate around in a 300zxTT, lowered 35mm with SE nosecone.

It scrapes everything including my drive (kinda unavoidable!)

I am getting shot anyway, not because I dont love it but for a GTR33V.. which senile ramblings bring me to my point:

On a stock R33v how much clearance does the front splitter have?

Seems a stupid thing to base buying a car on I know but I can stand the scrapage no more:)

Peace.

~100mm I'd say

Just been out to the garage and measured my non-vspec; I have 110mm of clearence at the front. V-Specs are supposed to be 10mm lower, I'll let you do the math. ;)

Thanks Simon/Glen

100mm clearance will do me - I am worried about the rabbits you see, poor critters dont stand a chance againt my front spoiler:)

I have just measured mine and it gives me 65mm
Oh dear..

Cheerz fellas - dont want to come on here with my strange VG30DETT ways, but there is always room for a gratuitous shot of Jap metal....

agreed.

Skylines have a lot more clearance than 300zxs from std.

I would say the ZX is a lower and more sleaker car for starters so by dropping it that much then you are going to get trouble.

What you could look into is having a rubber lip on the bottom of the front splitter. Almost all escort cossies have this and I know that gary chapple has designed one for the skyline.

It juts out a bit but helps stability. Most importantly as it is rubber, then it flexes when it hits the ground and it takes the impact as opposed to the hard plastic.

I am not sure if Abbey can get hold of these but give them a try.

Thanks bud

Might raise the car, but prolly end up selling to make way for a shiny new secondhand GTR33v LOL

Thanks for the advice tho...
