After some B4STARD stole my GT-R badge of my car last night (and left me a nice present in the form of a 10 inch scratch across the boot) and coupled with the attempted break in which has bent my door frame back and chipped my drivers side window  , I have decided to buy a car cover.

Anyone know where to buy these from that fit the R34 GTR?

Cheers,

Cem

Hi Cem,

Sorry to hear a little pr1ck tried to break into your car!!
Nissan does a cover for the R34, I use it all the time and it is pretty well made. Its around 20k yen. As for the GTR badge the filty bastard nicked, you can also get them from Nissan. Nismo in Tokyo has them for sale, I think they are a few thousand yen.

You should look into getting one of those alram systems with flame throwers that pop up from under the car;) I think they are legal in South Aftrica....sure teach a lesson to those theving mongrels:mad:

Covers

Cem
I looked around for quite a while for covers and other than the obvious people try these as well :-

Cover Systems
They have produced two car covers specifically made for the Skyline, for either indoor or outdoor use. With prices starting from £68 for the elasticated nylon indoor cover, going up to £98 for the lightweight, polyester water resistant outdoor cover. Cover Systems can be contacted on (01933) 410851.

Hope this helps

Many thanks all for the help. I've managed to secure a car cover from Classic Covers. £130 and guaranteed against damaging paintwork. The good thing is, it comes with a cable that you can padlock so nobody can take the cover off without putting a knife through it. It should do the job for now.

As for the little cnuts that did it, I rang the police up to make an official complaint. It seems the local authorities are too busy trying to catch speeding cars than actually have a presence on the street in the form of a visible policeman. In the borough that I live, there are apparently only 40 police officers on duty at any one time. This is Labour's answer to making the streets safer. Im outraged.

The thing that REALLY pi55ed me off was the scratch. If you want to steal my fuking badge, take if ffs, I can get another one. But don't go defacing my boot in the process :(

I would love to catch one of these b4stards doing it. My friend once caught a guy trying to break into his car a few years ago. Thing is, he used to represent the UK Karate team. He crept up behind him and performed a wonderful roundhouse kick on the side of his head and knocked him out cold. Left him there and then on the street, birds dancing around his head.

Always a happy ending I suppose.

Just caught up with this thread, very to sorry to hear about the damage on your 34 Cem, i hope you get things sorted ASAP.

I had to have some of the paintwork sorted on my GTI-R in August due to mindless vandals (overnight paint disspeared on the rear spolier - some sort of paint stripper poured on), key marks (of which i had 2 light scratches keyed into the rear quarter panels last week - both around 15 inches long) and numerous other damage (still need to get the roof resprayed to get the 10 inch key mark removed - fortunately again, it's only a light scratch).

I'd love to catch one of these idiots in action...i studied martial arts for several years (reaching my blackbelt in karate, and a few years kung fu and kickboxing)...i'd have great pleasure in testing how good i still am (not that i condone violence of any sort).....

Hope the new cover sorts out the problem. I purchased a cover for my GTI-R (with straps running under the car to keep it in place)....worked for a few days, then started setting the alarm off (it flapped around a bit). I've bought some extra bungee cord to strap underneath in an attempt to stop it flapping so much in the wind - and hopefully stop it triggering the alarm.

Still, you shouldn't have to go to these sorts of measures...i think it's absolutely disgusting the way some people treat other peoples property.

Cem,

Have you got the contact details / website of the company that you got your cover from - sounds like a worthwhile investment to me.

Thanks

Daz,

It's a shame we live in a society that almost expects this kind of behaviour from those that can't be ar5ed to go out and get a decent job and buy a car.

I've been subject to malicious car vandalism before, it's getting silly now. :(

Alex,
