My R33 GTR has two R34 bb turbos, however they still have the ceramic turbines. If I purchased the steel 'N1' rebuild kit from australia and have a turbo specialist to rebuild them both instead of buying new turbos.

How much boost will the rebuilt turbos be able to cope with, and how much HP will this yield?

The boost is set to 1.2 bar at the moment, I just don't want to risk it and would rather have them rebuilt with steel wheels to the 'N1' spec turbos.

Assume that the kit comes with 360 bearing, then the boost is just about anything you want. As you increase the boost the turbo life will go down and you will be out of the range of the turbo map.
Expect to run around 1.4 to 1.6 with supporting mods.
Last time I looked the "Turbo specialists" wanted lots of £ for fitting and balance, not worth it for me.

I also have been looking at this kit and if I remember rightly the shafts don't fit the BB as I think its a different diameter ...

I'm not sure if the journal bearings will fit the r34 bb cores as I'm sure the 360 bearing casings are larger than the bb ones
