Theres 2 gtrs in our car club both running nearly 900hp both use late model R33 gearboxes...
But they wont run slicks.
I guess thats not verry safe, A friend said that i should go with a light clutch and OS Giken/PPG*.

*PPG Rates their gearset at 900ps

I just dont know what the PPG costs :chuckle:

The PPG is available in helical cut (like the os) OR a straight cut dog box
The os gearkit into your R33 case would be the best value IMO
The PPG Dogkit was about 10k au last time I looked

5speed Straight Cut Dog Set - Nissan R32, R33, R34, Z32 - Pfitzner Performance Gearbox
10k AUD is about 67 000 Swedish Crowns so its over my price range but where can i find the exact price? What i was talking about was not the dog box it was this set Helical Synchromesh Gearset - Nissan R32, R33, R34, Z32 - Pfitzner Performance Gearbox

@ matty; if that is on a bog std OEM 6speed then that's very impressive
Although synchro's won't last long when properly used on a track ;)

Agreed, guess it depends how its driven, there's a thread on here some were with a pole and pretty much everyone has a crunch!! And I bet most are running half that power!

If you baby it, it will be fine. But that's not drag racing, Is it?!

its the stock box with a few modifications

Gio says that the GT-R nissan and TS engineers were very impressed with the box

i questioned the internals and was given the spec, but its basically a stock R34 GT-R box, very very low mileage (original one with the car)

everytime i change gear it just feels so precise, hence why i thought it was uprated

but its done various dyno runs, top speed runs etc and its fine

If its modded, What mods does it have.

no its a stock box, the fork etc is uprated. but gears are stock

its just extremely low mileage, which probably helps

How low is low milage? 1000 miles? 5000 miles?

And when you say 'fork' as in the clutch fork that the clutch slave pushes against?
