As I only have one key for my recently purchased R34, I wish to buy a spare.
The key I have has an inbuilt chip bythe way.
Have tried via local Nissan Dealer which is proving tedious(but probably eventually possible).

Any better ideas, eg Middlehurst or what??

I had replacement ones cut in B&Qs.
Shure they're not the same as the ones with a big R on them but they work all the same

Is it only the UK cars that come with the chips? Or is it all R34s?

My R33 GTR definately doesn't have a chip in the key.

Chips

Salt and vinegar anyone ?:D

MM should be able to do it ,if you supply them with chasis numbers, etc.

I do not think you can go anywhere else for the keys do have an immobiler in them , but I wonder if the immobiliser disused in the UK when the ECU is changed or a CAt 1 alarm is installed ?

All R34 GTRs have an engine immobiliser with a key-based transponder.
Your original key should have a small metal tag with a 5 digit number on it which will allow Middlehurst or Nissan to get the key and transponder matched.

However, as Paul said, if the ECU has been replaced then the immobiliser probably does not function anyway. I think it's just Mines and Nismo that keep the immobiliser working after an ECU swap.
