Was going to replace my std dumpvalves with SSQV's the other day when two things stopped me, first off the std rubber pipes were to wide to fix to the ssqv's - New pipe bought

Second do i just need to remove the black Y pipe cap off the pipe circled in yellow?

yes you do mate basically you should remove the dump valves the rubber joiners which joins them to the Y pipe and then the Y pipe itself leaving you with the rubber joiner which is about 50mm in diameter which you should have a blank to fit inside and then tighten with the jubilee clip
