The two cars are the simular weights. The Supra has more advantage as far as a stronger motor, drivetrain and transmission.
With a Skyline R34 VSPEC, in AWD mode, making 700 crank hp. The car will make appox 407awhp. With the 40% drivetrain loss.
Thats loosing around 300hp in just the drivetrain. What happens to the energy lost in the drivetrain? It is converted to heat. This plays a major role in transmission abuse.
The cars are in a different league to compare.
But in this scenario.
1/4 Mile - T88 Supra vs T88 Skyline. Skyline will pull the better 60' (depends on the supra tires) but the supra will probably pull it up top. Your talking 750rwhp vs 513awhp, the Skyline will take it in the 1/8th, and Supra should be pulling hard afterwords.
The Supra in stock form pulled a .98g's to the Skyline .94g's on the skidpad. Supra has a 4'' shorter wheelbase then the GTR's.
And brake tests from 60-0 run show the supras 108ft stop compared to the GTR's 118ft stop. So the supra is a little better in the corners, and better in braking.
Then again, with AWD the driver has more confidence to push his skyline in the corners then an amature driver with a RWD car.
The cars are in a different league, but compare simularly.
