Looking for a definate answer as i've seen different ones from different places.

If you were to import a car from say 1998,would you pay road tax on its CO2 emissions,or pay road tax like the old method, based on CC?

I've seen replies say you pay based on CO2,others say old method,so anyone got a definate answer?

AFAIK if your car came under the 10yr MOT only route then its the old system of cc ie £190? now, if its under 10yrs and esva or whatever it is now then its by emmissions, so a 10yr old 1999 gtr will be £190 and a 9yr old will be co2 ralated. If your r34 gtr came in prior to 2002 or whenever it was they changed to co2 then it'll be the cc system.
