Went their today and WOW.

Don't don't how them guys get into their cars with ball5 that big.

Pole setter in qualyfying, average speed round the track 213 MPH.

You wouldn't believe how close they get to them walls as well.

Also the Teams are so friendly and approachable in the pits.

Absolutely awesome day.

Andre,

It was the Champ car and Ascar qualifying today, oops sorry, yesterday, the event is called Rockingham 500. Have a look at www.rockingham.co.uk

Glen,

I'm doing a track day there Sunday after next (29th), any tips apart from staying away from the concrete walls? :)

Must have been quite impressive :smokin:

Best way to avoid concrete walls: don't drive. But that's no option I suppose ? ;)

Take care !

Hi Pete

The infield track looks OK mate. If I'm right you come out from the infield on turn 3, down the start/finish, then back into the infield at turn1. That I believe is all you get of the Champ Car track but I reckon thats enough  .

The place is really nice, new, clean and damn easy to get to.

Hope you have fun.

Andre. They run a round if it in Germany as well I believe.

That would probably be on the Lausitzring (oval), which is quite a long way away unfortunately.
