Hi guys,

Still a newbie, but I have decided to sell my R32 GTR. :(
I have post a thread about a problem I am having with the car.
http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?t=49895

It has some oil in the radiator. I flushed it 5 times yesterday, but a small amount of oil seems to have returned :(
Rather than clean up the oil, and sell the car as 'sold as seen', I would much rather be honest a lose a few grand, as i believe in 'what goes around, comes around'.

So here goes...

The car spec's are as follows:

Silver
1991
76,000 miles
12 months MOT
5 months Road Tax

In the last two months it has had replaced:
Rear tyres
Cam belt
Splitfire coils
Decat pipe

It has also just passed an MOT, first time no problems and has 5 months ROAD tax.

The previous owner had the car for just over twelve months and covered an unbelievable 25,000 miles with no problems at all. The car takes no water or oil, it is checked every week and serviced ever 3,000 miles.

However, the head gasket is showing signs of problems. You would never know there is so little oil showing in the water but I wish to be honest.
As I have spent over £3,000 in the last few months I can not afford to pay out for the repair of this as well, due to a lack of funds, hence the reason for sale.

(If it was not for this problem I would put the car up for around £8000)

The car has been very well looked after and if it was not for me getting carried away with my credit card I would have kept it.

The car itself has the following non-standard items, please note there is no boost upgrade or ecu changes.
The car is still restricted and is still in Km's

17" Gewalt split rims with New tyres
Induction Kit
Full Exhaust System
Adjustable Suspension
Vented & Grooved Disc's
Sparker Kit
De-Cat
Dump Valve
Trial Front Bumper
Toad Cat 1 Alarm and Imobilizer

The car is running around 350bhp but this has not been dyno'd

Please feel free to ask any questions and the vehicle is available for inspection

Car is now on ebay but may sell outside if the right offer comes.

Pics:

(driving up a bump - wish it had that much power to lift the front end that much ;))

I rang up Abbey Motorsport, and described the symptoms to them.

They said 8 times out of 10 its a cracked cylinder head.

Quoted me around £2000 including labour, parts, etc, etc.

Ring Whibitz, they quoted me £1,200 including labour parts, etc, etc.

I would do it myself, but cant afford it at the moment.

Yes it was, I bought it in the first few hours of listing.

The only reason It's for sale is I thought I would keep it for a bit and sell, once I fixed it during summer.

But I need the money, which is why I havent got the car fixed.
Anyone is welcome to come down and view the car, and I will happily allow inspections from mechanics, etc, etc.

Just trying to re-coup some of my money

Some guy rang me up today saying, 1993 R32 GTR's can be now had for £3500 to £4500, and R33 GTR's can be had from £7000 to £9000!
Ready SVA'd from some auction house in liverpool

Told him to buy it from there and stop texting me every hour to tell me how cheap he can get them for!

Probably another dreamer, did he mention his cousin can get things cheaper, as thats the usual line.
Truth be told, you get what you pay for, but occasionally a geniune bargain can appear. Its a funny market is the gtr, just dont know how to price it really.
All the best with it.

Thanks TABZ! I've had loads of calls and a few promising ones, but no one has come to see it yet :(

I honestly think that the first to see will buy!

Mechanics, RAC inspectors, etc, etc more than welcome!

Bargain..

In the worst case scenario it will cost £1,200 to fix. (I havent had time to have it checked out from a mechanic, or specialist yet, so it may just need the headgasket replacing again!)

£5250 for the car + £1200 = £6450 - Still a bargain in my book
