yet again another hold up on my rb26 build ... the guy thet is sorting my cylinder head just rang me and told me that with my new cams in (hks 272 10.2) that the shim clearances are way off nearly 1mm clearance on each valve i need to sort this problem before friday, he suggested that i get the thickest shims available and he will grind them to suit can this be done with rb26 shims??? is there lots of different sizes available or what ....whats my fastest option the engine has to go in this wknd:squintdan im searching as we speak

Are you sure they are HKS cams? The reason I ask is because:-

I use JUN cams with a smaller base circle which means you need 1mm thicker shims.(272 10.5mm)

I think HKS cams are supposed to use the STD shims

I don;t know then. I was under the impression that HKS cams used STD shims. The likes of Abbey motorsport might be able to help you, or at least tell you if the STD shims should be the correct ones.
