GTROC Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit Track Day Sunday March 23rd

After the fantastically successful track days in 2012 and 2013 on the famous Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, I can announce that we have negotiated the next one to be on Sunday 23rd March at a special price of £269.00 per car for GTROC members.

We will as usual have four Free of Charge Formula One pit garages if we get 15 cars.

It has a 102db drive by and 105db static noise restriction which proved to be satisfactory for everyone on the last years trackdays.

Please do not book directly through Silverstone as I have already reserved 15 places at this discounted price for GTROC members. This includes £15.00 worth of food vouchers and the free pit garages.

Please go to the GTR Owners Club website GTR Owners Club and buy the event through the shop which is under the section of Track Days. If it doesn't appear today, then it will be there very shortly!

Hopefully I have given all you Track addicts plenty of time to plan your diaries well in advance.

Jake Hill will as usual be available for Track Instruction and now being a Touring Car winner, you will get a 'Star in the Car' with you;)

Jo, many thanks for the heads up.

We have done a special deal as we believe that the vouchers are better value, and it means we get a free breakfast as a minimum!
We didn't think that our drivers would be spending nearly £80 each either to equal the value of the food vouchers.

John - I believe Silverstone has removed the food vouchers for this year, instead giving drivers a discount to 20% I think on the food purchased in the cafe.

Unless this is still a special deal for you only :)

Hey guys, after my experience with the last trackday we had, i cant resist !! lol

However, i have one question.. Is it a problem if my front brake discs show signs of cracking.. Its not that bad but defiantly visible..

I am planning to go stage 2 or something and change brake discs to the Alcon kit at my next service in may, but wanted to know if its safe to hit one more trackday before that..

Haslak, are you running the normal drilled OEM Nissan discs?

If they are just showing a few cracks from the holes like a star then that is fine. However, if the cracks join up between the drilled holes and particularly spreading towards the top of the disc, then you need to replace.

You may not need to go all the way to Alcon's as the AP slotted disc is damn good for most usage.

Yes they are the stock OEM discs i have on at the moment..

Ah i see, ok then i should be able to use them for the track :)

Thanks, i will have a look at the AP discs.. Ideally i just want the cheapest option, that is better than the stock discs, so that i can spend on other areas of the car :) Ill have a chat with Iain once im back in london and discuss my options..
