Sold my gtr a few months ago and been looking ever since for a replacement but just can't seem to find anything to replace it ! Luckily it went to a forum member so I'm glad it's in good hands but what to get now ? Max budget of 65k not used as a daily and no need for 4 seats/practical aspects .

That is what it feels like currently ha ! There's a nice r32 1000ps at harlow jap autos but think it exceeds my knowledge some what ha ! 997 turbo r8 v10 gen 1 f rype r maybe a whipple mustang are my only thoughts atm but still unsure
There is only GT-R. Then death. <img src="http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/new/chuckle.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Chuckle" class="inlineimg" />

That 32 is awesome but by no means a car you can drive about normally, and definitely not daily!

I had a test drive in a v8 stang. I now understand just how much power plays a part in the overall driving experience. The GT-R is sooooo much more than just 500+ horse power. By comparison, the Stang was underwhelming

Same position as yourself!

I***8217;ve decided on a 911... wanted something with a little more interior comfort and good residuals. Seems to tick the boxes

I think a 911 is the only logical choice if I’m honest for this type of category car. It would have to be a 911 turbo however! Lol

It***8217;s difficult as there***8217;s not a lot that fits the bill but I don***8217;t mind the 911 for the interior comfort over a GTR. Turbo might be stretching it... thinking a GTS!

R8 V10 manual would be my choice but for a completely different flavour but still a very rapid and enjoyable car.

I decided on a GT4, I wanted real sports car with manual, whose performance I could actually use more of the time.
No doubt at all I'll miss the rampant midrange, but not the weight and size. Not actually sold it yet though. Lol

The trick is not to sell until you have decided on what to get next. I've gone Esprit->Esprit->Esprit->Esprit->Noble->Aston->GT-R and apart from one of those changes, each time was a trade in so I wasn't a day without my car.

I'm trying to decide between and having a GTR and also running some sort of daily driver.

Or going for an RS3 to cover both bases.

The fact I live in a flat is making me thing the RS3 is a better option for me just now. But the want to have another GTR again is HUGE hahaha

I had an rs3 8v couple of years ago and loved it ! They sound amazing and not afraid to drive it and use it like a daily, can park it up anywhere and doesn't draw much attention. Easily tuned too and can put down some serious power! I still have my secondary cat delete pipes that I need to sell if you ever get one ha !

See those are the exact reasons Id go for it. Plus the fact I can stick the mountain bike in the back hahaha

But it's still not a gtr... Really and truly your really trying to convince yourself to get something else instead of a GTR but deep down you know that's what you want.... Its like a drug and you need it... Lol:chuckle:

I also have my gtr for sale and am looking to buy a new RS3 and mod the hell out of it with IMS1000 kit etc. While i love the gtr i liked the new RS3 way more for my needs. Had a drive in a IMS850 car and it was truly insane. Faster then my 800whp gtr. Plus it had a nice interior, better/smoother gearbox, etc. For a mostly daily driver a tuned RS3 is a way better car. Dont get me wrong i still like the gtr i just think the new RS3 is that good.

I am in exactly the same situation. Although my budget tops out at 50k ....There is just nothing in the 40 - 70k that appeals over a GTR! The only choices available to me is an 09 R8 V10...everything else is jet...meh. Dont want a fast saloon that'll depreciate rapidly. At your budget of 65k you're entering AMG GT territory which is where i'd maybe look. 997 turbo's? I saw a 2003 996 GT3 for 60k....old but future classic...? Or, of course, a 2017 GT-R....
