Im thinking of getting my gearbox rebuilt with fresh synchros etc, when my box is out to swap the engine.

Anyone had this done before? Where can you get the rebuild items from?

Has anyone done this and recommend anyone? Im based in Glasgow so up thsi neck of the woods would be preferred...

Done it a few times, parts are relatively easy to come by, but you would have to search for it a while though.

If you were in The Netherlands i could give you our address but shipping a gearbox from Glasgow will cost you as much as the rebuild itself.

Think (but i'm not sure) that some advertisers on the forum should be capable of doing the rebuild

Thanks for the info...what parts do you recommend in replacing? You wouldnt have the nissan part numbers by any chance?

Any transmission specialist will be able to rebuild it for you AND get the parts. Its just a normal 4x4 box at the end of the day...nothing special!!

I was just wondering if someone had used a company they recommend, as you've pointed out its just a standard box so any specialist should be able to do it...
