Hello everyone this is my first post. I recently just purchased my R33(My first turbo car). I've been trying to give it a good look over with the help of my manuals. I noticed my boost gauge reads anywhere from in between -3 and -5 at idle. I havent been able to find information on this reading. I figure it should read at 0. When i rev my engine you can see the turbo gauge increase but if i leave it at steady rpm's i lose pressure. Boost leak perhaps?

Can anyone support my guess?

turbo cars run at vacuum (i.e., *under* 0), until you reach a certain rpm with a certain load on the car. Basically, the time it takes for your car to swing from vacuum to full boost is turbo lag.

Don't try to run your turbo at 2 bars btw.
