Right now that I've got everyones attention

Looking to take my R32 GTR down to bare shell

I want to strip the paint off, sort rust out etc and then restore.

Question is whats best to strip the car of paint acid dipping, media blasting, hard graft with a wire brush, clean and strip disk? Theres just so many out there.

I'm based in Manchester, any recommendations on strippers?

currently going through welding repairs myself, the welder I'm using prefers doing the acid dip on all the replacement panels I've required so far, not sure who he uses, just hope your chassis is in a better condition than mine was:nervous:

Wow

Surprised you've been advised on acid dipping.

I don't think I would want to go down the acid dipping route.

Ive heard many bad stories where acid leaks out the seams and ruins the paint work.

I don't mind glass bead blasting but I can't seem to find a decent place in the North West

well in fairness paintwork was not a major concern for me as the whole car is to be repainted in the near future once all the repairs are finished. If I had gotten the whole chassis done instead of just the replacement panels I'd have discovered it wasn't worth repairing in the first place but how and ever. I think the repairs I required may have been more extensive then what you're looking at yourself, we found quite an extensive amount of weather damage to my own once we started digging
