how would anyone experienced sky drivers rate the r34 gts-t against the 2002 subaru sti PPP?

I'm looking to spend around 22k and want to make the right choice.

I'd go for R33gtr at that money

You should be able to get a well sorted 33gtr for 22k - have a look at some of the for sale areas for some examples. I'm biased of course as I've got one - this is an idea of what you could get in a gtr33

I've only driven older scoobies so can't comment on newest models - but I prefer the gtr compared to the older wrx's I tested - the continuous wave of power and ability to step the back end (and get it back) was what sold me. That and the image of course ;-)

For proper driving comparisons you'd need to get opinions from some of the better qualified members as my driving ability is rather limited.

The other bonus is that the depreciation for the GTR is quite low now
