Anyone know how to rectify this problem? Suspension bolt sheared on one side and on the other the threads have been sheared so the nut just spins in one place.

Car is on axle stands so not driveable. I'm guessing its pressed in to the hub from the other side?

Anyone got a nissan FAST diagram?

Is that the bottom of the damper? Can't quite see for the pic, if so it will just knock out

Yeah bottom of the damper. You sure it will knock out? Looks like it will require some serious force.

Try knocking it out with a punch, if that doesn't work use mole grips and unwind it untill all the threads are clear then try and knock it out.

If none of the above works then drill it

It's a captive stud that is part of the front upright.

It must have been seriously over-torqued at some stage for it to snap at the thread like that.

Easiest repair would be to get a new front upright from a breaker.
I would think about doing the other side too seeing as the gorilla with a wrench probably swung on that one as well.

What lightspeed said. Had same issue recently with nut spinning. Took off ARB bracket and chopped end off bolt with angle grinder. Nut then backed off easily. Thought about getting all medieval on the bolt to replace it but not much room to play with. New upright was much easier solution.
