hey guys i got an r32 rb20det and was condsidering doin a bigger turbo conversion,

since i can get hold of a T4 for a good price, am not sure if its worth doing it to an rb20

is my engine gona be able to handle the power, am not planning to do internals just yet.

my aim is to

T4 turbo
hks manifold
power fc
bigger injectors
and a re map

any ideas guys

T4 is the vaguest term ever.

What type of T4.

But T4s of various sizes are rated from about 550 to 1200 bhp, id say its a bit pointless on a stock RB20...

as far as i no, its a T3 cozy turbo which has been rebuilt with t4 internals and bigger housings.
it can handle up to 400 or so boost, soo its not one of those extrme huge turbos that can handle over 500 and i no as a fact stock engines espically rb20s cant handle excessive boost. it can easily blow the head gaskit lol

Bigger what housing? Compressor or exhaust?

You cant put T4 internals in the T3 housings.

It sounds like a EscCos T34 compressor side with a Sierra T3 exhaust side.

So not a T4, good for about 350-370bhp if the spec above, or 400 at a push (35psi style push) with the .63 EscCos exhaust side.

Its a T34 basically.

Show me a pic and ill tell you exactly what it is.
