from what i can tell the kit comes with springs etc!?

Super Racing Spec Circuit Master Type RS -

Type RS is Tein's first product on the market that installed the compression and rebound damping force adjusting. Separately 16 levels of compression and 16-level rebound, so that you have 256 ways of damping force setting. This larger range of setting will meet every situation. The upside down type has been adopted for strut type and vertical type with a separately oil tank has been adopted for wishbone multi-link type.
Contents-
(x4) Individual Compression / Rebound Adjustable Shock Absorber
(x4) Main spring, (x4) Lower Spring Seat, (x4) Spring Seat Lock
(x4) Bump rubber, (x4) Dust cover, (x4) Pillow Ball upper Mounts
(x2) Hook spanner, Instruction manual.

12kgcm springs
Ouch!! I'm using 9 and 8 kg/cm and theyre really stiff. I think 12's using the Teins will be a bit too harsh IMHO. Without wishing to patronise but have you driven or been in a Skyline with 12/9/8 etc?
Hard springs are why I look like this...
and not this...:D

Even going to Knockhill (I assume its Knockhill you'll be tracking it) from Edinburgh will be less than nice. When I get the chance I'm going for softer springs and stiffer ARB's F/R. Fair play though, an R32 will make a great dedicated track car.

Hi, i have the tein circuit masters on my r32 here in aus, and i can tell you they are very stiff even with softer springs ,and to be honest i havnt got a handle on the setup on these as yet,the instructions dont help at all lol,i think the springs in mine are 6 and 4 from memory and i cant push the car down at all .i use a set of midori upper front arms they are the ducks guts and cusco upper rears,my car hasnt been on the track as yet due to engine failure

12 kg (over 1000 lbs inch) springs up front are way too stiff for a car without a full weld in cage, the suspension will hardly move at all, just the bodyshell flex in the main! The ARB's will be redundant, as their rate is insignificant V the wheel rates with those springs. I'd say a rate of about 700 pounds inch max, even for serious track usage. I'd buy some 500, some 600 and some 700 lns inch springs and try all three. You may need different lengths to get the right travel on the dampers. If you have the funds get the new dampers on a shock dyno (maybe 35 / 40 quid per corner) and see how they are from new, my experience is they can vary wildly, I am not a fan of tein stuff, to be frank.

Adam,

I would use AST dampers for your track car , triple adjustable low/high speed bump damping , rebound. Droop and ride height are adjustable , remote reserviors as well.Comes with springs not like the Super Racing teins.

Rebuildable in the UK as well, but I am in with Chris 12KG,s are far to hard for a uncage weld in cage car. We run from memeory 8,s and 7,s on our time attack car this year, with a STD front bar and a white uprated adjustable rear bar.

I will sort a price out for you when I am at work tommorrow.

I use the control master type flex with EDFC and found a great improvement over the old St Bosoe coilovers which were well worn. The EDFC is a thing of beauty too, maximum stiffness at the track and near standard ride comfort on a mid setting for the road. Tremendous value for money. No idea of spring rates but I'll ask tomorrow.
