With all the excitement of last weekends GTROC 10th Anniversary AGM and AWards Dinner many of you don't realise that in a little over three days time its the former NEC Classic Car Show renamed for 2013 as the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show! Its the biggest and most popular classic car exhibition in the UK with over 1500 wonderful cars from all eras showcasing a myriad of marques and models for a motoring enthusiasts paradise! Every year tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world gather for this annual homage to motoring history. Whether you are a classic car owner, collector, enthusiast or if you simply love all kinds of cars, this really is a must do show :bowdown1:
This "Grand Finale" to the UK classic season celebrates all ages from the veteran, the vintage, the classic and the future classic bringing together the whole motoring spectrum in this unique annual celebration of motoring. The show also hosts the single biggest gathering of UK companies and traders in the market offering every conceivable product and service to the classic car owner/enthusiast - plus some superb features that are totally unique. Its all about bringing together people who share a passion for cars. There's a mouth-watering array of classic cars on display at the Classic Motor Show whether you have a passion for British racers, traditional classics or the more modern retro classics. Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and enjoy the cars from years gone by.
When you think of places you could see a Ferrari 250 GT SWB or an Alfa Romeo Spider where springs to mind? Monaco? Cannes? Birmingham??? That is right, you dont have to travel across the water to see a European beauty because here at the Classic Motor Show we are bringing continental chic to you. In our exhibition gaze enviously upon our collection of flamboyant and exotic motors as they flutter their headlights at you and with marques including Porsche, Maseratti and Ferrari you will be in classy company. We know there is no school like the old-school but we also will be welcoming the new kids on the block - no, not that crass American band from the 80s - with Clubs exhibiting the Modern Classics and those considered the next generation of classics motors. These vehicles may not be rare on our roads just yet, but this doesnt make them any less pleasing to the eye so you can come along and feast your eyes whilst debating amongst your friends what makes a car a classic in the first place!
However the show does believe in the old adage of respect your elders and with some of the earliest cars engineered on display, you can do just that which is a must for any enthusiast of the worlds pioneering vehicles. Plus as lots of the visitors grew up with motorbikes two wheeled machinery is now also included with a whole Classic Motorbike Show! It runs next door in one of the other halls at the same time and costs absolutely nothing extra with your ticket! Thats right, if you have got a Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show ticket its free, gratis, complimentary, on the house! Superb club displays of bikes covering all eras and marques from Vintage to Modern Classics; British, Italian, Japanese, American, classic racers, custom, scooters and much more including the world famous 'Wall of Death'!
Now why are we telling you all this ??? The main reason is that the GTROC will be exhibiting a stand at this years show - which we have done before of course - in which you can see the three following CLASSIC vehicles
